Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll pg. 165-174

The white rabbit calls out "Silence in the Court!" and everyone quiets down.  The rabbit then reads a scroll that says that the queen of hearts baked tarts that someone ate without asking.  They call up the first witness, the mad hatter.  While the mad hatter is explaining what he witnessed, Alice starts to grow taller again.  The queen keeps staring at the hat the hatter has on his head and this makes him nervous.  The mad hatter keeps trying to explain what happened to the court but he is so nervous from the queen staring at him that nothing he says makes sense.  The king thinks that the mad hatter has nothing else to say so he asks him to sit down.
